Legal & Compliance Manager

Groupe Beau Vallon is looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager to support the Group across its diversified activities, including corporate services, agriculture, hospitality, property, leisure and sustainability initiatives.

 

This is a hands-on, business-facing role for someone who enjoys combining legal analysis, contract review, compliance and practical problem-solving – working closely with Management, operational teams and external legal advisors.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Providing practical legal and compliance support to Management and operational teams.
  • Monitoring legal and regulatory developments and supporting compliance reviews, audits and internal controls.
  • Drafting, reviewing and commenting on contracts, agreements and legal documents.
  • Identifying contractual risks, loopholes, unclear obligations and areas requiring better protection.
  • Coordinating with external lawyers, notaries, consultants and public authorities where required.
  • Supporting KYC checks, due diligence and third-party compliance reviews.
  • Assisting with board and committee papers, governance documents, resolutions and corporate records.
  • Assisting in legal and regulatory matters linked to land, property and development projects.
  • Supporting negotiations with suppliers, partners, contractors, tenants and other stakeholders.

 

Profile

 

We are looking for a structured, analytical and reliable professional with:

 

  • A degree in Law, Business Law, Compliance, Corporate Governance or a related field.
  • Around 4 to 6 years’ experience in legal, compliance, contract management, corporate governance or a related function.
  • Strong ability to review, draft and interpret contracts and legal documents.
  • Good understanding of corporate compliance, KYC, legal risk and governance matters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong drafting skills.
  • The ability to explain legal matters in clear and practical terms.
  • Confidence to work with Management, operational teams and external advisors.
  • High integrity, confidentiality and sound judgment.

 

Experience in a group environment, real estate, hospitality, agriculture, financial services, legal practice or professional services would be an advantage.

 

Admission to the Bar or a professional legal qualification would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
