We are currently seeking a dynamic Health & Safety Officer (Part-Time) to join our team.

 

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, driving risk assessments, and fostering a strong safety culture across our operations, including Agri-Business, Property, and Leisure clusters.

KNOW-HOW:

Health & Safety Compliance & Risk Management

  • Provide advice and guidance on health and safety regulations, internal policies, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and ensure follow-up on action plans.
  • Identify workplace risks and recommend corrective and preventive measures to minimise accidents and occupational illnesses.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to identify potential health and safety hazards.
  • Advise management and teams on the interpretation and application of health and safety legislation.
  • Prepare reports related to compliance, incidents, inspections, and audits.

 

Operational Follow-up & Regulatory Compliance

  • Organise and facilitate Health & Safety Committee meetings at least once every two months.
  • Ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure timely renewal of the annual factory registration in line with legal requirements.
  • Ensure renewal and compliance of the Fire Safety Certificate on an annual basis.
  • Liaise regularly (bi-weekly) with the company dispensary to identify recurring health issues and propose preventive measures.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of fire safety equipment, including fire extinguishers.

KNOWLEDGE:

Training, Awareness & Incident Management

  • Deliver training sessions on health and safety practices, emergency procedures, and risk prevention.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and emergency response plans, including organising evacuation drills.
  • Respond to workplace accidents by conducting investigations, analysing root causes, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of audits, risk assessments, incidents, and training activities.

 

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Sound understanding of applicable health and safety legislation.
  • Good communication and training facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and operational environments.
