Groupe Beau Vallon is one of the main economic players in the Southeast of the island. We have considerably diversified activities over the past fifteen years into key sectors such as diversified agriculture, hospitality and property development.

We are currently looking for a reliable and qualified Assistant Accountant who has a knack for figures to join our team of professionals. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the right candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

KNOW-HOW:

Accounting

Assist in the preparation of General Ledger/Cash Book/Accounts Receivable and Payable/Preparation of Financial Statements
Assist in the preparation of periodic reports to review variances against budget
Review and approve payments to suppliers
Perform bank reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close process
Assist in the preparation for consolidation of the group’s accounts.
Daily cash flow monitoring
Inventory computation and analysis

Audit Compliance and Statutory activities

Liaise with auditors.
Prepare audit file and schedules for auditors.
Ensure that audit and tax queries are attended efficiently.
Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with financial and tax authorities.

KNOWLEDGE:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting / ACCA level 2
At least 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
Hands-on experience with accounting software
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

SKILLS:

Ability to work under pressure
Strong leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
